What Grinds My Gears (1 of MANY)

Posted: May 6, 2012 in Uncategorized

I’m probably crazy… But you know what really grinds my gears?

Just got back from the beach… Chillaxin wit’ my fine self, like always, and I started thinking a bit. There’s no shortage of cars on the road, no shortage of people storming walmart, no shortage of people dining out, no shortage of people on flights, vacationing, partying, buying clothes, WHATEVER! I see people doing their thing…. So where’s this economic crisis at that we’re supposed to be in?

People are making money, and spending it. I love doing it. I have this feeling that there’s an underlying LAZINESS in our country. I hear people complain about jobs and money, but I know for a FACT that there’s tons of opportunities available to make money. Shit, I mention ONE of them ALL the time to people. That’s just one avenue of many. And im not saying do Traci Lynn, but do SOMETHING. If you don’t take advantage of it, that’s your own fault. You can ONLY BLAME YOURSELF. Don’t look for fault elsewhere because you’ve already told yourself you don’t have what it takes.

People complain of certain jobs not being available like they used to. These are jobs that typically don’t require much education and is usually laborious. That just changes with time. Sorry, but if you don’t have the education or skill, you’re narrowing your own potential in today’s job economy. We are post-industrial nation. Key words- post industrial. We now look to service and using our minds, than producing and using our hands. Not to say it’s not needed or its a bad thing producing, but again, it changes with time.

And for anyone that wants to argue jobs being sent overseas – before you blame other nations, people, and immigrants (classic scapegoating) for the loss of jobs that MOST Americans won’t even take, consider that the government gives nice tax incentives to companies that ship jobs elsewhere and it’s the decision of the BUSINESS OWNER (AMERICANS) to do this.

I want to see everyone I know succeed. Not just financially, but in area that you enjoy and love. But you gotta get out your own way and step up to the plate. Educate yourselves and associate yourselves with intelligent, successful people. It doesn’t come easy for most, but the rewards are the SHIIIITTT!
